Engineering Design and Computer Science (KELP-CS). KELP-CS is a curriculum for grades 4-6 that teaches computer programming, computational thinking, and engineering design. Learn more about the KELP-CS curriculum HERE. Funded by the National Science Foundation. 

NextGenPET. We are developing activities to help prospective teachers learn about teaching science and engineering through the NGSS practices. Funded by Chevron.

ReImagine Science Education. Elementary teacher education science methods course focusing on teaching science through activities inspired by Maker Education.

Student Projects and Research Topics
Techsploration. David Yale has developed Techsploration and is researching the aspects of short science/engineering technology stations at Techsploration relate to student engagement. Learn more about Techsploration HERE.  

Learning through Digital Fabrication. Ali Hansen has been researching the role of 3D printers in learning science and engineering in an innovative middle school class (Master's project). 

Preservice Teachers' Understanding of Engineering Design. Ashley Iveland's dissertation work focuses on pre-service teachers' understanding of engineering design. Her earlier work focused on children's ability to create creative designs.
